TruckGuysTV started in 2006 as the result of a meeting between TV producer Ed Blomeley and fleet owner/custom truck builder Phil Langevin. Phil had embarked on building a custom rig destined for the 2007 Big Rig Build Off at the MATS in Louisville, his fourth entry in that competition, and he was looking for a way to document the build. Ed thought that it might make some good TV, so he agreed to build a show around the project.
What began as coverage of a single truck being built has grown into the internet's premiere custom truck site. Since 2006, we've covered shows, interviewed truckers, produced how-to clips and met hundreds of the great folks that are involved with trucks and trucking.
We now have hundreds of trucks on our site, hours of truck building and dozens of interviews and features. We've got friends helping us, such as Phil, but also the Chrome Shop Mafia's Bryan Martin and Gailand Johston doing interviews for us, folks in Australia and Europe willing to give us a hand and our friends at Sirius/XM's Road Dog Radio giving us some buzz.
TruckGuysTV has become the site we had imagined way back in 2006, but now we are imagining so much more. Webcams in shops, a world-wide truck build, more show coverage, the world's largest database of custom truck video. Come on in a look around!
